MUD ROTARY DRILLING RIGS
USE: Ideal if your project requires advancing deep boreholes in unconsolidated formations.
The drill bit is cooled and lubricated by drilling mud, which also carries the cuttings to the surface. Drilling mud cleans the bottom of the borehole, creates an impermeable bore surface, overcomes formation fluid pressures, and prevents collapse of the borehole. Productive water zones are protected, the drill pipe won’t corrode, and electric well logs can be obtained.
We've converted all of our late model CME 75 auger rigs to obtain 22,000 foot pounds of torque; nearly twice the torque of a Mobile B61. Several rigs are capable of drilling to 200' with 8" diameter hole. One rig is equipped for angle holes up to 45 degrees off of vertical. The CME 75's are truck mounted with a Nodwell tracked-vehicle-mounting for access on soft ground.
