HOLLOW STEM AUGER DRILLING RIGS

USE: Hollow Stem Auger is best used in unconsolidated formations with minimal boulders.  Our late model rigs are truck and track mounted. We offer both full size and low masted rigs for under powerlines and inside buildings. All rigs feature high torque configurations which delivers more useful drilling power to the bit face. The auger acts as a temporary hold casing allowing the installation of wells up to 8" in diameter. Depending on conditions, auger drilling can reach depths in excess of 300 feet.

It is best if your project requires rapid hole advancement, accurate soil sampling and well installation. All auger rigs can be equipped with both wire line down hole samplers and automatic samplers. Standard soil sampler sizes include Standard penetration test (SPT) and 3” OD Dames & Moore samplers. Many rigs are capable of angle drilling up to 45 degrees off vertical.
